Family “Time-Outs”
Family “Time-Outs” are faith formation sessions for families that provide opportunities for parents and children to take a “time-out” from their busy schedules of active family life to explore some characteristic of living discipleship. This is just another way the parish demonstrates its desire to support families in their commitment to ongoing faith development so that they may respond generously to God’s call to holiness.
Family formation sessions are creatively designed to appeal to contemporary youth and include refreshments and a fun family activity or engaging entertainment. A nominal activity fee to help defray expenses is requested of each family who attends. On occasion, family formation days are held at off-campus sties.
Take home packets are distributed at every Family “Time-Out.” These handouts help foster dialogue at home about what was experienced at the parish.
Celebrate the Feast of Saint Valentine with your favorite little sweetheart (Pre-School through Grade 2). We’ll read a few great stories, eat some sweet treats, and complete a fun craft project. Invite your daughter or son, grandchild, Godchild, niece, or nephew for an hour of simple graces that help us remember the saint who taught us how to love.

Celebrate the Feast of Christ the King by spending some quality time as a family creating and decorating an advent-wreath for use in your home. Enjoy pizza and dessert, too! This session concludes with a blessing of the Advent Wreaths. Families are encouraged to attend the 6:00 PM Sunday Mass in church following this family “time-out” session. Keep Christ in Christmas by reflecting upon the true “reason for the season.” This event fills quickly and space is limited.
